The satyrical side of Cherokee County, all stories within the Cherokeet Connect section are fiction.
Scam Alert:
Cherokeets, I may have exposed the Pizza Prince of Canton. Last week I decided to try the Pizza Prince of Canton. The buzz amongst Cherokeets is that some new dough Jerker from Brooklyn has been muscling his calzones into the County. This reporter had to go undercover and infiltrate the pizza parlor. I opened the front door confidently, donning my best Sopranos impersonation. Maybe they would think I was just one of them and I could observe the pizza parlor unassumingly. My ruse worked! They thought I was just another gavone ready to mangia. Their guard was down, because after paying for my order and saying thank you to the cashier, the woman behind the counter smiled at me and said back “my pleasure”. It was at this moment the Pizza Prince jig was up. Nobody from Brooklyn says my pleasure, nothing’s a pleasure in the Lower East Side. Now I have a hunch that the whole operation is a fraud and in fact the Pizza Prince may not even be from Brooklyn, NY but possibly hailing from Ballground, GA. Where was the profanity? No S words, B words, C words, not even an old fashioned Italian go F yourself. How come the staff was not cursing? The owner was not even wearing a ragu stained Guinea tee. The food was delicious, but I am still left wondering if it’s the old owners of Hot Dog Heaven rebranded and now selling pizza. Either way it was a tasty story to slice.

In a sea of tech inventors, one shining star stands stands out in 2022: Josh Bagby, founder and lead developer of Cherokee Connect, a social media based search engine company aimed to take on Google.
What’s exciting about Bagby's tech is that unlike Google's sophisticated A.I. and search engine optimization aimed to find answers from millions of sources, Bagby's tech is powered by people from Cherokee County, GA. What used to be a simple Google search is being replaced by an opinion poll of about 60,000 North Georgia residents.
While the tech is powerful it still has its limitations. For some reason it never produces clear answers on what they are building near and around Hwy 140 or where the best Mexican restaurant in Canton is. We never reached out to Babgy for comment but if we had we are pretty sure he would have probably said something like, "Why did the computer arrive late to work? Because it had a hard drive, jk, its office is off Hwy 20”. What a great guy, we wish Josh and his Cherokee Connect search engine luck in the future.
